CEO and Chief Design Engineer

Dr. Eng. Nedislav Veselinov is an Aircraft Design Engineer and the co-founder, CEO, and Chief Design Engineer at Photonics Design Bureau. He has graduated with a degree in “Aircraft Engineering” from the Moscow Aviation Institute. With a long-standing passion for engineering and aeronautics from an early age, Dr. Veselinov has garnered extensive experience working for several international companies, including Boeing and Sensata. His primary aspiration is to advance the high-tech industry in Bulgaria.

Project Manager

Apostol Spassov is the Chief Operating Officer at Photonics Design Bureau, specializing in Business Administration and Finance. He oversees the organization of the company and its financial processes. Additionally, Apostol is responsible for integrating new processes within the company and managing communications with clients and partners.

Lead Engineer

Eng. Yanislav Mirkov is an aviation engineer and our Lead Engineer. He graduated with a degree in “Aircraft Engineering” from the Moscow Aviation Institute. His passions include airplanes, engines, and eccentric engineering projects utilizing advanced hybrid electromechanical technologies. He has worked on the design of a Renault Formula 1 car, where he was responsible for calculating the aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle. He has over five years of experience as a design engineer. He specializes in working with polymer composite materials and products with complex shapes.

Lead Engineer and FEA specialist

Svetlozar is also an aviation engineer. He graduated the Technical University of Sofia. He brings a deep understanding of aeronautics and engineering principles to our team. Svetlozar’s expertise encompasses the design, analysis, and maintenance of aircraft systems, ensuring they meet stringent safety and performance standards.

R&D Engineer and CFD specialist

Eng. Martin Karanikolov is an aerospace engineer and our R&D manager specialized in aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel technology. With over 15 years of industrial and research experience in these fields, he actively applies CAD/CFD methods in the design of various products in the aerospace industry. He has contributions in various international companies, working on projects such as aerodynamic tunnels, eVTOL aircraft, road vehicles and satellites. He consulted for numerous companies and institutions, including Airbus, Google, and NASA. Martin leads the research & development at the Design Bureau.

Electronical systems engineer

Kristiyan Alexiev is an electronical system engineer. Kristiyan’s role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of electronic components and systems. His proficiency in circuit design, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting ensures that our electronic systems operate efficiently and reliably. He also oversees the testing and validation of electronic prototypes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Marketing Manager

Iliyana Stratieva is our dynamic and innovative Marketing Manager, playing a pivotal role in shaping the brand and driving the marketing strategies of our organization. With a keen eye for market trends and a deep understanding of consumer behavior, Iliyana is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive marketing plans that enhance our visibility and engagement across various social platforms.

Business Development Manager

Simona Randeva is our Business Development Manager. She is responsible for expanding our presence in new markets, growing our client base and developing new solutions to better reflect the growing needs for the market.
